Pain Attracts.
The Bible speaks about us being more than conquerors; on several occasions it also demonstrates how we victorious over anything. We may even say, "I am more than a conqueror!" And this is true, because God's Word doesn't lie! However, I have to think and ask myself, "Why don't we live victorious lives? Why does it seem like so many people are struggling?"
Regardless of what you were taught or what you think, this is a legit question. I mean, take a moment... think about your family, your friends, or your co-workers who say that they are a believer. I bet that out of that selection, you are able to put your finger on at least one person who is struggling - they can't get a break. Can I hit you with a hard truth? When we display struggle for the world to see, yet proclaim to serve a victorious God, it makes our faith unattractive. Ouch! But it's true.
However, the bible states that where Christ is lifted up, He will draw all men to Him. With that said, I believe that the deeper issue is are you allowing Christ to be lifted in your life? Do you have Him on display?
We live in a world that accepts the idea of Christianity, but shuns the act of Christianity. When we open our mouth as Christians, or do something contrary to what the world finds to be okay, we are attacked (yes, sometimes physically). As a result of this pattern, the enemy has unleashed a Spirit of Fear. Many are not standing because fear is weighing them down.
Fear will keep you seated and silent.
Because of this, Holy Spirit is being grieved (have mercy on us Lord). We house Holy Spirit and carry the anointing of God, however many are not in full operation because they have accepted the world's response over God's purpose.
So how do we get over this? KNOW WHO YOU ARE. In addition to that, get acquainted with your safety in God. God will not lead you to a place where you are not able to come out. Sometimes He leads us to the "wilderness" so that our anointing is activated. His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. When we choose to endure, we see and experience God's true purpose - His strength performs on our behalf.
God's strength has the purpose of getting everyone's attention. "Where I am lifted, I will draw all men unto me." People are attracted when they learn of your status through God's drawing. God will send people to you. What I love about that, is that when He sends people to you, He sends them with a purpose!
Because of God's glory seen in and on your life, God's strength draws people to you to bless you. Listen daughter! Listen son! You don't have to go out and make your poverty known; God's got you! You don't have to make your lack known; God's got you! You don't have to make your void known; God's got you! In every season of your life, God's got you!
When you try to take things into your own hands, seeking pity or trying to solve your own problems, God's reputation becomes unattractive to people. Why? Because you say and proclaim you trust God, but you are found begging people to fix your situation. "Be Still and know that He is God, " "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all its righteousness, " "Wait, I say on the LORD."
Find your secret place, and wait for God to place you in the right place at the right time and in front of the right people. I have good news for you... Your place of pain has the purpose of attracting great people in your life. Let God do it.
When you place everything that you are and everything that you have in God's hands, He will make you attractive... for His Glory.
